Vera Wang Princess

I adore Vera Wang Princess! It’s truly a delight for the nose! The opening is sweet and gourmand. On me I can smell the vanilla and chocolate immediately–it takes a while for the other notes to emerge.

After about 15 minutes I can detect the apricot, guava, and the barest hint of the apple. I detect almost nothing of flowers in this concoction. On the dry down, the vanilla is still there but it reacts with the amber and musk to lend itself to a vanilla incense type of fragrance.

Lolita Lempicka

 Lolita Lempicka is a fragrance that holds many memories for me. It’s also like some old friend that I don’t see very often, but whenever I do get together with her, I realize that neither of us has changed much and we still have a lot to talk about. Lolita and I tend to “reunite” in the autumn, since I prefer to reserve anise and vanilla for cooler weather.

Note: I am wearing the Lolita Lempicka in Eau de Parfum and have not tried the Eau de Toilette; if anyone can comment knowledgeably about the difference between the two, please speak up!

I should begin by admitting that I’m a longtime fan of Anna Sui’s
